APERS strongly encourages our members to register for the Member Self Service (MSS). Many of the more common retirement related tasks that members need to do can now be done online from the comfort and safety of your own home.
The new APERS Member Self-Service Portal (MSS) allows you to take control of your retirement account. You can view your current status, check your service credit, send and receive secure messages, add or change beneficiaries, generate benefit estimates, apply for retirement benefits, and much, much more. But first, you have to register your account.
To gain access to your MSS account, you have to establish your username and password. Start by clicking the LOGIN: MEMBERS button at the top of any page on this site.
This will bring up the login screen. Click the Register link just under the Log In button.
After you click Register, you will see the Terms of Service for the member's portal. Click Accept to proceed.
Next, you will need to verify your identity by providing your Social Security number and your APERS ID number.
For active members, you can find your APERS ID on your Annual Statement
For retired members, you can find your APERS ID on your Explanation of Benefits Statements (EOB).
If you cannot locate your APERS ID on one of these documents, you can call us and we will provide it.
Dial (501) 682-7800 in Pulaski County or (800) 682-7377 toll free statewide.
Once you have your ID number, enter it and press Validate.
If your registration is successful, you will receive a confirmation.
You may return to the LOGIN: MEMBERS screen and enter your new username and password to begin exploring your MSS account and all the things it can help you do.
Note: For security reasons, member accounts that have no activity for a full year are deactivated. If you find yourself locked out, just contact us and we will reactivate your account. We encourage you to use this valuable resource and check you account periodically.
