Since APERS introduced the MSS portal in 2017 (log-in at www.apers.org), thousands of members have experienced its power and simplicity, managing retirement account details with their own hands, at their own leisure.
Once registered and inside the portal, members discover Do It Yourself (DIY) capabilities galore, from updating personal information to secure messaging with a counselor, from changing beneficiaries to running benefit estimates. Many tasks that used to require a phone call, mailed letter, or personal visit to perform are now available inside the portal. With great power comes great responsibility, of course, so APERS makes safeguarding your account a top priority. One security feature is that your MSS account gets deactivated after 12 months of inactivity. (A dialog box on the screen will alert you if the account is inactive.) One quick phone call to APERS confirming your identity will get your MSS account reactivated immediately.
