APERS members can register for access to their information – plus great retirement planning tools and secure private messaging – in the Members Self-Service (MSS) portal right here on our website.
In the top right corner of every page on our website (www.apers.org), the LOGIN bar shows the MEMBERS link into the portal. Because this information is private, we protect it diligently with sophisticated encryption tools and layers of other security protocols. One of the keys to that security is your unique APERS ID number.
To register for access to the portal, we require members to enter by computer their unique, private APERS ID number. Most members don’t know their APERS ID number off-hand, but it appears on either your Annual Member Statement (active members generally mailed out each January) or your monthly statements (current retirees), as well as any correspondence you might have received from APERS. If you cannot locate your APERs ID, don’t worry, one quick phone call to our Call Center and you’re in business! Our Call Center representatives are available weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 501-682-7800 (or 800-682-7377 toll free).
We cannot tell you your APERS ID by email or social media messaging. It’s simply not secure. We require our staff to verify every member’s identity according to your Social Security Number, before telling you (and only you) your APERS ID number. Email and other non-encrypted messaging platforms are very unsafe methods to communicate highly classified personal information, such as your Social Security Number (or APERS ID).
Once you have your APERS ID, the registration process is simple and straight forward. You can find a link to register from the Login screen. Upon becoming registered you will have online access to your APERS member records, benefit calculator, and numerous other tools for your convenience.
